| Bio |
I grew up in Lawrence, Kansas and attended Drake University (Des Moines, Iowa) where I earned my BA in Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology. In my year between college and medical school I spent some time working and traveling, which shaped my perspective on the world, human rights, and my place as a health professional in the struggle to promote health and human rights. I am a current second year medical student at the University of Kansas Medical Center (Kansas City, Kansas) and look forward to completing my MPH either next year or the year following. I am interested in eventually working in public health and/or preventive medicine, with a focus on community health and health policy.
